Kari Haugen advises clients in labor and employment matters, including wage and hour, discrimination and harassment, and disability and leave of absence issues, employment policies and procedures, and employment agreements. Ms. Haugen has extensive litigation experience in both state and federal court, including motion practice, discovery, trials, and mediation. She has written and argued appellate matters in the California Second Appellate District and the Ninth Circuit.
Ms. Haugen began her practice in 1988 with O’Melveny & Myers in Los Angeles, California, representing employers in a range of labor and employment matters. In 1994, she joined the national labor and employment firm of Ford & Harrison, and became a partner in January 1997. Prior to joining the firm in 2006, Ms. Haugen served as senior employment counsel for Warner Bros. Entertainment. She has received Martindale-Hubbell’s highest A/V rating.
